By downloading, installing, or using the Bambino mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including parents, guardians, and caregivers who use the App to track infant and child development.
2. Description of the App
Bambino is a baby and child development tracking application that allows users to:
- Track growth metrics such as weight, height, and head circumference
- Monitor developmental milestones based on CDC/WHO standards
- Record health events and medical notes
- Access curated parenting articles and educational content
- Receive developmental notifications and reminders
Bambino is not a medical application. The information provided is for informational and tracking purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. User Accounts
To use the App, you must create an account using a valid email address and password, or sign in through a supported third-party provider. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. Children's Data
The App is designed for use by parents and caregivers. You may enter data about infants and children under your care. You represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to provide such information and to consent to its processing on behalf of the child.
We handle children's data with the highest level of care in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law, including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).
5. Permitted Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful personal purposes. You must not:
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code
- Use automated tools to scrape or access the App's data
- Upload false, misleading, or harmful content
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are the exclusive property of Bambino and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, storage, and analytics
- Google AdMob — Advertising (free tier users)
- Google Fonts — Typography
We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their policies.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
- Any defects will be corrected
Growth percentile data is based on WHO/CDC reference standards and is intended for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical guidance.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bambino and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or health decisions made based on App content.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
